Participants will explore how colors, organic shapes, and lines can capture the rhythm and emotion of music while telling personal stories through visual art.

Program Objectives

  • Engage in a Hands-on Abstract Art Activity: Create a unique artwork using heavyweight paper, watercolor palettes, paintbrushes, cups, and string, while incorporating organic shapes that evoke natural forms and personal expression.

  • Explore Expressive Qualities of Line and Color: Experiment with primary colors and varied lines to translate inner feelings into a dynamic visual narrative.

  • Tell Stories Through Art: Use color choices and organic shapes as a means to convey personal emotions and experiences, crafting a visual storytelling approach that reflects their inner musical landscapes.

  • Discover Kandinsky’s Legacy: Learn about the history, culture, and innovative techniques of Wassily Kandinsky, understanding how his work redefined modern abstract expression.
